Langshan chicks

The Langshan chicken is considered to be one of the gentle giants of the chicken breeds. Well mannered roosters and docile hens make them great for families and 4h projects. We have the colors  black and blue on our farm. The hens are known to lay lavender bloom eggs from time to time which is highly sought after for those who love a rainbow pallet of eggs. They are very hardy for winter and do well free ranging as well as in a coop with a run.
